Nokia has confirmed to roll out few updates for S60 3rd edition and S60 5th edition phones. These updates resembles very much like Symbian Anna n will be coming very soon.
The updates are related to browser, OVI maps and messaging. As per the news there will be an updated version of browser(Web v7.3 - the same as Symbian Anna), some updates to the OVI maps and addition of emoticons to the SMS and MMS which we all the nokia users were looking forward to.

These updates which will come in the form of firmware updates, are now available to Nokia E72, E52, E5, Nokia C6-00 and 5230. These updates as usual will be available sooner or later for all product codes.
Surprisingly these updates are absent in Nokia N97 due to technical issues fitting everything in its limited C: disk.
The firmware update to the web application includes updates to both the rendering engine (WebKit) and the UI of the the application. The new UI is more intuitive and is less clunky that the previous version. Web standard support is also improved with initial (basic) support for HTML 5, expanded support for CSS 3, and JavaScript 1.8. The combination of the new rendering engine and UI significantly speeds up browsing. Page loading and navigation through previously visited pages is faster, and on-page scrolling is also faster.
Ovi Maps is updated to version 3.6, which adds public transport line information to maps, a check-in to social networks service and the ability to load maps over WiFi or 3G directly on the device for later offline use.
